A guy in Austin told me my grid was 9 lines too fat, so I rebuilt it with 4
I showed a layout to a dev in Austin back in March and he counted 11 grid lines on a card section that only needed 3 columns and 1 row gap. He said if I can draw it with fewer lines then I am just decorating, not laying out, so I swapped to grid-template-areas with named spots and the file dropped from 40 lines to about 12. Does anyone else name their areas for tiny stuff, or do you just set grid-column on the kids and move on?
