The day I caught my flex columns fighting my grid rows for no reason
Last Thursday I was hacking together a product card layout and my rows kept jumping 2px every time I nudged a gap value. I opened devtools and saw I had display:grid on the wrapper AND display:flex on each child stretching height into each other, so my gap was never the actual problem. Felt dumb because I'd been adding padding hacks for like 3 months thinking flexbox was just picky about rounding. Removed the flex display, set min-height:0 on the items, and everything lined up instantly. Has anyone else hit that bug where the parent grid and child flex quietly sabotage each other like that?
