Warning: I blew $180 on a CSS animation course and learned more from one CodePen in 20 minutes
Rant time. I paid $180 for an online CSS animation course back in March thinking it would teach me the secrets of smooth keyframes. Three hours in, the guy was still explaining what transform does and the projects were these ugly spinning squares I could have copied from any tutorial. I finally closed it and dug through CodePen instead, and in 20 minutes I found a single pen showing how to stack clip-path with a transition to make a reveal effect in like 6 lines. The markup was stupid simple and it did more than the whole $180 course ever showed me. So my hot take is that paid animation courses are mostly padding unless you already know the exact technique you want. Has anyone here actually finished a paid CSS course and felt like it beat just reading other people's source on CodePen?
