CSS Grid rows with auto sizing are way better than I gave them credit for

I spent about $50 on a premium Grid course by Rachel Andrew last month and it honestly saved my layout sanity. Always used fixed pixel heights for everything until I finally understood how minmax and auto row sizing actually worked together. That course made me realize I was overcomplicating two column layouts for no reason at all. Has anyone else wasted time on rigid heights before discovering auto rows?
