My hover effect broke the checkout page for 3 hours over one missing comma
Buried a transition property typo in a nested span inside a button, and every click on the shop's buy now did nothing until I spotted it at 1am, has anyone else lost a full evening to a single character?

The thing that gets me is how a broken transition can eat the click event entirely, not just make it look weird. Everyone thinks a CSS typo should just mean a missing fade or a jump instead of a smooth slide, but when you mess up a transition inside a nested span it can leave the element in a weird state where the browser stops passing clicks through. So you sit there checking your JS, your API calls, your form handlers, and the whole time it's one character sitting in your stylesheet laughing at you. Makes me want to lint my CSS on save just so I never lose another night to a comma again.
