The time a site's dropdown menu broke my checkout flow
I was on a clothing site last week trying to buy a hoodie, and their dropdown menu for size selection literally floated off screen and wouldn't let me click anything. Had to refresh like 3 times and use inspect element to force it closed. Has anyone else had a CSS bug kill a whole purchase for you?

Oh come on, this is on you. Dropdown menus have worked the same way for 30 years and you're acting like a CSS bug is some unsolvable mystery. If you actually wanted that hoodie you would have just used the browser dev tools to force the dropdown closed and moved on, not refreshed 3 times like it was going to magically fix itself. People blame the website for everything these days when half the time they're running some janky ad blocker or browser extension that breaks the layout. The site probably works fine for everyone else, but you're on some obscure browser with 20 extensions and wondering why things don't render right. Developers have to support a thousand different setups and you expect them to catch every edge case where your specific combo of plugins causes a 4px shift in a dropdown.

I mean, it's like how self-checkout machines just assume you're not really trying to buy anything either.
