A print shop owner in Spokane once told me 'ink is cheap, trust is expensive'.
I was picking up a rush job of 500 wedding invites and panicking over a tiny typo I'd just spotted. He stopped the press, looked at the mistake, then at me, and said he'd re-run the whole batch at his cost because my name was on the line too. How do you build that kind of partnership with a printer today?

Is it that deep though? Like they're just invites, people will still show up. Feels like a nice story but maybe an overreaction.

Just invites" can mean a lot to people who feel left out.
