Paid $600 for a reclaimed barn wood wall and now I want to tear it out
The installer in Portland nailed each board with random spacing that looked fine in photos but up close the gaps catch dust and the wood smell still lingers after 4 months, does anyone know if sealing it with a clear matte coat would fix the odor or am I stuck with it?

Matte sealer should knock out most of the barn smell, did the trick for my old cedar boards. Just test a small spot first to make sure it doesn't darken the wood too much. Those gaps are a pain but a dry paintbrush sweep once a week helps way more than youd think.
