Warning: stop picking tile by photo alone, a 4x8 sheet of that marble look tile fooled me at the store in Charlotte
Under the showroom lights the ceramic version looked just like the real stone, but once it was laid in my north facing hallway the printed pattern repeated every 3 tiles and the gray veining went flat, so I paid $340 to swap to a different line with 12 face variations, and if you have seen this happen with a specific brand I would love to know which ones to avoid.
Wait, $340 just to swap it out? That part is wild to me. I get that the pattern repeat is a real problem but eating that cost on top of the original tile price would have sent me over the edge. The north facing hallway thing makes total sense too, that flat gray light shows every flaw in a way showroom spots never will. Twelve face variations should honestly be the bare minimum for anything trying to fake stone, three is a joke.
