Watched a guy in Phoenix tile a whole shower without spacers and it messed with my head
I was at a supply house on 7th Ave picking up thinset when this older tile guy told me he hasn't used spacers in 15 years, just eyeballs the joints off the factory edge of each tile. Watched him lay 3 rows on a scrap board and the grout lines were dead straight, which made me question why I keep buying buckets of the little plastic wedges. Anyone here ever dropped spacers for a whole wall, or is that just a fast way to make wavy grout lines?
