That week I got 14 portfolio reviews and 0 interviews
Last month I posted my site to 3 different design forums and got tons of feedback on my typography and spacing, but not a single recruiter reached out. Turns out everyone was judging my projects, not my About page, so I rewrote my case studies to lead with the problem and the numbers, has anyone else noticed that polish matters less than proof?

Used to be ALL about the pretty stuff. Spent hours on my hero section and pixel perfect spacing. Then a friend told me to put the numbers right at the top of my case studies and suddenly people actually wanted to talk. It's like the visual stuff gets you in the door but the proof is what keeps you there.
