Hot take: the 'millennial pink' wave in Denver cafes three years ago actually taught me about color harmony.

That whole color theory take feels like giving way too much credit to a basic trend. It was just a popular shade that got slapped on everything. The vibe worked because cafes are nice places to be, not because of some deep design magic with the rose and brass. You could probably swap in a different soft color and get the same cozy feel if the coffee and pastries are good. Calling it a lesson in harmony is just dressing up a fad after the fact.

Pro tip: check the torque on those LRU mounting bolts, not just the connector pins

Ever sheared one off by going a quarter-turn too far? Asking for a friend who definitely isn't me.

Stopped paying for coworking spaces after figuring out this library hack in Lisbon

Totally, and that saved cash becomes your own creative fund.

Why does nobody talk about the time it takes to fix a messed up layer state in a 200 page PDF?

You ever try using a separate template file just for layer states? I keep a clean master drawing with all the correct states saved, then import them into new sheets. It's saved me from rebuilding them from scratch more than once.

My cousin got deep into flat earth theory and it made me rethink how I talk to people about this stuff

Kellymurphy makes a good point, that line of questioning can totally lock up the conversation. You have to agree the cover-up could be huge first, then ask what proof would ever be good enough if even the experts are fake. It moves the goalpost back to them.
