Ran out of kosher salt mid dinner rush and grabbed the flaky stuff by mistake

Burned a whole tray of cookies once because I grabbed the wrong bag of sugar and the texture came out kinda chewy, which everyone actually loved. Now I do it on purpose every holiday and my mom still thinks I'm just bad at baking.

My 1 inch die slipped mid press and wrecked 8 pins, but the fix cost me nothing

A 50 cent furniture foot saving a whole run is wild to me, like that is the most low tech fix I have ever heard. How does a rubber foot even hold the base steady enough to keep the pins lined up, does it not squish around under pressure? Maybe it is just me but I would be way too nervous to trust that for a real job.

Unpopular opinion: your daily log is the cheapest insurance you'll ever write

What made you pick a notebook over your phone? Not trying to start a fight on it, just curious. I've seen guys try the notes app and stop after two weeks because they hate typing with gloves on. The paper log people seem to stick with it longer, mostly because it lives in the truck and takes ten seconds. But what do you do when the notebook gets rained on or left at the shop? Do you snap a photo of the page each night as a backup, or just trust the paper?
