Ran out of kosher salt mid dinner rush and grabbed the flaky stuff by mistake
Saturday night, 40 covers on the books, and I reached for the wrong bin while seasoning a batch of roasted carrots. The flaky salt dissolved faster and somehow made the dish taste brighter, so I kept using it on the rest of the plate. Anybody else ever grab the wrong salt on purpose after a mistake like that?
Burned a whole tray of cookies once because I grabbed the wrong bag of sugar and the texture came out kinda chewy, which everyone actually loved. Now I do it on purpose every holiday and my mom still thinks I'm just bad at baking.
