Shelled out $80 for a shortcut subscription planner - kinda regret it

I spent $80 on one of those fancy shortcut subscription planners that tracks all your tool keys and macros. Turned out my brain just remembers shortcuts faster when I write them on sticky notes stuck to my monitor. Anyone else find cheap methods work better than paid apps?

Buddy of mine dropped $60 on a fancy meal prep app that plans out your whole week. He used it exactly twice before going back to the crumpled grocery list and calculator he keeps in his glovebox. But the real kicker was the app kept sending him notifications at 6 AM on Saturdays about prepping kale chips. Now he just scribbles "chicken and rice again" on a napkin and calls it good.

My desk has about fifteen sticky notes right now that I refuse to peel off.
