Zoomed out too far and spent an hour lost in my own design
I hit the wrong shortcut and panicked when everything disappeared. A friend told me about the 'fit to screen' hotkey. It's a lifesaver for messy projects.

Honestly @val_sanchez, that frantic squinting at the screen like it'll help find it is the worst part for me. My brain just gives up and my eyes glaze over.

Oh man, I used to be so stubborn about learning hotkeys! I thought my mouse was fine for everything. But getting lost like that, exactly what @bettyg93 described with the frantic squinting, that changed my mind for good. Now I keep a cheat sheet for the basic zoom and view commands taped to my monitor. It saves so much time and panic.
