Spent $180 on a custom rubber stamp, ink smeared on half my order

Had a local shop in Portland make me a die for my packaging labels. They swore the polymer was the right density for cardstock. Tested it on scrap paper at the counter, looked fine. Got home, did my run of 50 mailers, and the ink bled through 26 of them. Wasted the stamp cost plus the shipping boxes. Anyone else have better luck with a different ink type or supplier?
