My barber in Austin just changed my whole file setup with one comment

I was getting a haircut and mentioned my vector files were always a mess. He said, 'Man, you gotta name your layers like you name your tools. If you can't find it in 2 seconds, it's in the wrong drawer.' That hit different because I realized my 'organized' folders were just piles with labels. Has anyone else had a random chat flip a switch like that?

That barber is onto something. My own file system is a graveyard of good intentions. Folders named "new stuff" from three years ago. Feels like organizing by just shoving everything in a bigger closet.

Totally see this everywhere. We buy fancy planners but the real to-do list is on a sticky note. We download budget apps while the receipts pile up in a drawer. It's like we love the idea of being organized more than the actual work of it. So we just make bigger piles with better names.
