A client's 3-word note made me rethink my daily routine
Last month, after my weekly planning session, a client wrote 'you seem rushed' on a feedback form. I thought I was being efficient, but she saw right through it... I had packed 11 micro-tasks into each morning block, which left no room for actual thinking or adjusting. So I cut my schedule to 4 big slots per day and added a 20 minute buffer between each one. It felt like I was wasting time at first, but I've actually gotten more done and felt less stressed. Has anyone else had feedback like that, where a tiny comment forced them to slow down and restructure everything?
Eleven micro-tasks in one morning block? My head would spin just writing that list down. Cutting to four big slots and adding buffers makes so much sense, since most people never leave room for the stuff that pops up. That client did you a real favor with three little words.
