The hallway mirror trick I picked up at a hotel lobby

Last month I stayed at a Marriott in Austin for a work thing and noticed the front desk had a mirror angled behind a monitor to catch the window light. I tried the same thing at my desk at home, just a cheap $12 mirror from Target aimed at my north window. It doubled the usable light on my keyboard without glare on the screen. Now I don't have to run my LED strip until 6pm. Has anyone else used reflective surfaces to bounce natural light in a dark corner setup?

...and honestly that mirror trick reminded me of something my grandma used to do with those old pressed tin ceiling tiles, she had this weird little reading nook in her basement that got zero light and she hung a couple of those shiny holiday wrapping paper sheets at an angle to bounce the kitchen window glow down there. Worked way better than you'd think, though occasionally her cat would knock one down and scare the heck out of both of them. But yeah, I've also done the laptop screen trick where you prop a white poster board under your monitor to kick light up onto your face for video calls, cheaper than a ring light and makes you look less like a zombie in the morning meetings. Your mirror thing is probably more classy than my tinfoil and cardboard setup though...
