TIL that facing my desk away from the door saved my focus during deep work
I kept getting distracted every time someone walked by my home office. So I spun my desk around to face a blank wall instead of the hallway. Now, I don't even notice movement outside the room. This small change lets me dive into complex design tasks without breaking concentration. My output has improved because I can finally finish things in one go. If you have a busy household, try turning your desk to a quieter view.

Seriously, I'd take a blank wall over watching my family's chaotic hallway parade any day.

Wait, you actually face a BLANK wall all day? That sounds so depressing (no offense). I'd go nuts staring at nothing.

Imagine my blank wall is so boring I started noticing every tiny paint flaw just to stay sane. Found a crack that looks like my uncle Gary and now I talk to it during coffee breaks. But honestly, staring at Gary the crack is still way better than watching my dog do his tenth hallway lap looking for a sock. I get so much done now that I'm basically friends with drywall.
