Vent: I swore by that "turf color" trick until I saw the photos 6 months later

Around March I started using a green hue shift on all my landscape renders to make them pop more. Everyone said it looked more natural, and I was getting compliments on every client pitch. But yesterday I pulled up a project folder from July and compared the final install photos to my mockups. The turf in my designs looked like radioactive slime next to the real thing. Has anyone else had a shortcut that backfired after you thought you nailed it?

That July comparison must have been brutal. Did you mess with the hue intensity or was it a full-on layer blend thing?
