Visited a tiny gallery in Brooklyn and their lighting setup made everything pop

I walked into this spot on Grand Street last weekend and the way they angled the lights on each piece made the colors look way more vibrant than usual. Anyone know how they get that effect without washing things out?

Grand Street, right? The gallery you're talking about is probably using gelled LED panels at a 45 degree angle. Ngl, that's the trick to getting saturation without glare, not just any old spotlight. Honestly, most places blast too much direct light and kill the depth.

Yeah, I read something similar in a lighting blog a while back. @bailey.sandra you're spot on about the 45 degree angle being the secret, it's like the sweet spot for those panels. Most people overdo the light and then wonder why the art looks flat.
