Pro tip: I spent 3 hours on a single component in Figma and it was totally worth it
I was working on a client's dashboard layout last Tuesday and kept getting stuck on this one button component. You know, the kind that has to work as a primary, secondary, and tertiary state all from the same master. I must have redrawn it 8 times before I finally sat down and mapped out all 4 variants with auto layout and constraints. It took me a solid 3 hours just for that one piece but now I can drop it into any frame and it just works. Has anyone else found that spending extra time upfront on components saves you headache later? Or is that just me being picky about my file structure?

Three hours on a button and now I'm wondering if I need to rethink my whole life. That's either genius commitment or the definition of overthinking a clicky rectangle.

...and honestly three hours is nothing if you really think about it. I spent a whole afternoon once trying to figure out why my mechanical keyboard felt wrong. Turned out I just needed to swap the springs out for lighter ones. Sometimes you gotta take a step back and ask yourself if the button is actually broken or if you just need a break. If you're still hitting that same wall after a couple hours put it down and come back tomorrow. Your brain will figure it out while you're sleeping.
