Spent 3 hours hunting a spacing bug because of a hidden auto layout gap

I was tweaking a dashboard mockup in Figma and the buttons kept looking squished no matter what I did. Turns out the auto layout had a 15px gap I didn't notice buried in the nested frame. Took me a full afternoon to trace it back because I kept looking at the wrong properties. Has anyone else wasted time on a glitch that was just a setting you forgot to check?

My sister once spent two days trying to figure out why her website buttons were tiny. Turns out she had a 1px margin set on a parent div that was messing everything up. I still tease her about it when we work on projects together.

Oh man, that 1px thing is the worst kind of bug right? I did something similar a few years back where I put a tiny padding on a container and it broke the whole layout for days. Drove me nuts trying to find it. The smallest stuff always takes the longest to figure out for real.
