Swore by keyboard shortcuts until I broke my design file completely
I was at my desk last Wednesday cranking through a client mockup for a local bakery app, hitting cmd+shift+[ to rearrange layers without looking. Next thing I know, my entire component set got merged into one giant frame and I lost 3 hours of work because Figma's undo just gave up on me lol. Has anyone else had a keyboard shortcut backfire this badly or am I just too cocky with my finger memory?

Oh man, when undo just gives up on you like that, it's basically the universe saying "you messed up too bad for me to fix it." The fact that Figma just peaced out after you merged everything is brutal, I've been there with a different app where I hit some weird cmd+option combo and my whole file just rearranged itself into nonsense. That feeling when you realize you've lost hours of work and your only hope was undo and it just didn't work, yeah that's a special kind of pain. Gotta respect the finger memory though, it's a double-edged sword when you're flying through shortcuts without looking.

Oh god, that undo betrayal is the worst. I've totally been there where you hit that perfect combo and everything just goes haywire and you're left staring at the screen like "what did I just do?" It's almost worse when you lose a bunch of specific work because you know exactly which details are gone and you have to rebuild them from scratch. I swear keyboard shortcuts are either your best friend or your worst enemy with no in between. That bakery app sounds like it would have been really nice though, sorry you had to deal with that.
