That old mechanic told me to stop using impact wrenches on cylinder head bolts, and I laughed until I snapped two studs on a 6.7 Powerstroke last month.

He said torque sticks and a breaker bar are the only way to go for aluminum heads, and now I'm stuck heli-coiling a $3,000 engine job - has anyone else fought the urge to use air tools on critical fasteners?

Actually used to roll my eyes at that stuff till i went to a live show last summer @mila_jones39 and the whole crowd was doing those chants between songs. Got chills honestly. The way they build up slow and then everyone hits the heavy part together is way different than hearing it on a recording. Changed my whole view on that kind of thing.
