I used to think my art was fine without a color check
Someone in this group looked at a piece I posted and said, 'Your greens are fighting your skin tones, it's making the whole thing feel muddy.' I opened it in a different program and ran a quick color blindness sim, and wow, they were right. Now I run that check on every piece before I call it done. Has a small critique like that ever made you fix a habit you didn't even know was a problem?

Got a similar tip about line weight from a forum years back. It made me realize I was using the same default brush for everything. Now I actively vary my strokes and my work has way more life.

Yeah, that's a solid habit to pick up. @leob93's line weight thing makes me wonder, do you ever get friends to just glance at your work for that kind of quick gut check?
