I never realized how much paint I was wasting until I measured it

I was repainting my kitchen cabinets last weekend and decided to weigh my paint can before and after. Over about 6 hours of work with a brush and roller, I lost nearly a full cup of paint to dried up bits on the tray and brush. That's almost $8 worth of paint just gone. Found the idea on a YouTube channel called The Paint Life. Has anyone else tried tracking their paint waste? Any tips for cutting down on it?
