Ugh, that phrase is such a trap. It shuts down any real talk. Makes you feel like you can't push back. They say it to sound wise, but really it's just control. Stops you from asking why things are done a certain way. Lets them avoid giving a straight answer. It's a power move, plain and simple.

Oh for sure. It's one of those steps that seems optional until you're dealing with the expensive fix later.
