Unpopular opinion: The new silt curtain regs are actually making our work harder, not better.
I ran a job on the Columbia last year with the old rules and again this spring under the new ones, and we added a full day just dealing with curtain deployment. The extra floatation they require now gets tangled constantly in the current. Has anyone found a setup that actually works with these things?
