But why spend time on fancy cable tricks when a simple tangle works just fine? I've seen those "smart" setups fail after a few device swaps (it happens more than you think). @the_kelly, your mess might actually be easier to fix later when you need to change something.

Oh man, my buddy had the same issue with his gaming setup. I went over one night and the back of his desk looked like a rat's nest, cables everywhere. He ended up getting some of those cheap Velcro strips and a simple plastic cable channel from the hardware store. Honestly the change was crazy, it went from total mess to looking really clean, like it blew my mind.
