That time a lash tint appointment dragged on for ages
Honestly, I had a client book a lash tint and it just would not set. Tbh, I followed the timing exactly but her lashes soaked up the dye so slow. Ngl, we waited like twenty extra minutes just staring at the clock. I started to worry I mixed something wrong but it was all by the book. Finally it took, but my whole afternoon schedule got pushed back. Has anyone else had a treatment that took forever to work?

Yeah, @the_tessa is right about the resistance. Sometimes the hair's natural oil is just too strong and blocks the dye from getting in.

Ugh, that waiting game is the worst. It's like watching paint dry, but on someone's face. I had a brow tint once that just refused to develop, and we're just sitting there making awkward small talk for what feels like forever. You start second-guessing every single step, right? How do some people's hair just decide to take a nap during a chemical process?

Salons in Denver always do a strand test first for this reason. Hair that's been colored before can be really resistant to new dye. That waiting around making small talk is honestly the worst part of any beauty treatment. Tbh, it's not the hair taking a nap, it's more like it's built up a tolerance. Using a stronger developer might help, but sometimes you just have to wait it out.
