Tried a new extraction technique on a client with persistent milia

I saw a video about using a 30 gauge needle to gently nick the surface before using a comedone extractor, so I tried it on a regular client in Austin. The milia popped out cleanly with zero pressure, which was a huge surprise because I usually have to work at those for a while. I learned that sometimes the smallest tool change can make the biggest difference in technique and client comfort. Has anyone else found a specific, gentle method that worked better than the standard approach for stubborn milia?

That point about the smallest tool change making a big difference is so true. I wonder if part of the success is how the tiny nick lets air in, breaking the seal that holds the milia in place so tightly. Have you noticed if this works better on certain areas of the face where the skin is thinner?

Spot on about the air breaking the seal. Makes me think of how a tiny crack in a jar lid is the only way to get it open sometimes. It's wild how that same little-release-big-result thing pops up everywhere.
