Just realized that client who kept complaining about my shoeing cost me more in wasted time than she ever paid me
Over at the Johnson farm in rural Ohio, Mrs. Patterson spent 45 minutes questioning every nail placement after I already pulled her mare's hind shoes, and then asked if I could knock ten bucks off for cash, and has anyone else dealt with owners who think talking through your process is the same as doing the job?

Mrs. Patterson didn't spend 45 minutes, she spent closer to 20.

I caught that line too, "she spent closer to 20," and it got me wondering how anyone could be so sure. I read somewhere that people tend to overestimate or underestimate time by a lot when they're not actually watching a clock. Your mileage may vary, but I feel like unless someone had a stopwatch, we're all just guessing here.

Wait, did you actually time her or just guess?
