I used to skip fabric testing, but a missed show changed that.
Missing a deadline because of untested fabric made me value preparation time.

Same energy as skipping an oil change, just ends badly later.

That oil change skip is a perfect example of a wider habit. I notice it with home upkeep, like ignoring a dripping faucet until it causes water damage. Or putting off a dentist visit until a small cavity needs a root canal. We trade a small hassle now for a bigger crisis later. It's a costly pattern that repeats in so many areas. The bill always comes due, usually with interest.

Gotta disagree with the whole "always ends badly" thing. Sometimes skipping the small stuff is the only way to get through the week. Victor_rivera57 makes a fair point about home repairs, but not every drip turns into a flood. Calling it a "costly pattern" every single time feels like fear mongering. Life's about picking your battles, not fixing every tiny thing before it breaks.
