Pro tip: A messy kitchen moment inspired new fabric texture ideas

I mean, I was wiping down the counter and noticed how spilled honey dried in these cool, wavy lines. It made me think about adding similar textures to jackets or skirts, maybe with ruffles or uneven seams. Idk, maybe it's just me, but I grabbed my sketchbook and drew some quick ideas. I tested it on an old shirt by cutting and sewing the edges to match the pattern. The good thing was that it turned out way more interesting than my usual stuff. Now I'm excited to try this on other pieces, like bags or hats. It's a simple start, but it got my ideas flowing again.

Spilled honey giving you texture ideas for jackets is honestly surprising. I can't believe you cut up an old shirt right after cleaning the mess. @irisb46 said it's just a sewing trick, but finding inspiration in a sticky spill is pretty creative. Actually sewing it and planning for bags and hats makes it seem like a real design process. I'm kinda shocked it worked out so well from just a kitchen accident.

Seriously, that's just doing a craft project from a spill. It's cool you made something, but calling it a new texture idea feels like a lot. Honestly, it's just a simple sewing trick.

Cutting up a shirt right after you cleaned the spill... I can't believe you went for it that fast.
