Showerthought: My quick stretch session mid-install got me stuck in a doorway

I was laying laminate in a tight hallway and my back started aching. Decided to do a quick hamstring stretch against the door frame to loosen up. Somehow, I shifted wrong and got my leg wedged in the opening. Had to call my helper over to help pry me out without scratching the new planks. The homeowner peeked around the corner just as I was popping free. We all had a good laugh, but my pride was a bit bruised. Take this with a grain of salt, but maybe save the yoga for the gym, not the job site.

Ngl, doorways are sneaky like that. Your story just proves the real hazard is the house, not taking care of your muscles. Honestly just glad you didn't take the whole frame with you when you popped loose.

My uncle's a contractor and he says most on-site injuries happen in the first or last hour. You're either not warmed up yet or you're tired and rushing. That doorway got you when your guard was down.

Hard disagree on "save the yoga for the gym". That's how you end up with a wrecked back by 45. Stretching at work is basic self care for tradespeople. You just got unlucky with the doorway. The real lesson is to clear your space before you stretch, not to stop doing it. Ignoring tight muscles during a physical job is asking for a real injury. A bruised ego is way better than a torn hamstring.
