My big order of 500 white roses for a wedding in Nashville arrived with brown edges

I had to trim every single stem by hand to save them, which took almost 6 hours. The wholesaler said it was likely a temperature shock during shipping. Has anyone else had a huge batch arrive damaged and found a faster fix than individual trimming?

Ugh that sounds awful. I had a batch of 200 hydrangeas show up limp last month and @thompson.xena is right, it's just tedious work. What saved me was using my big floral shears to line up a few stems at a time and cut them all together, way faster than doing each one alone.

That "trim every single stem by hand" part is brutal, six hours is a marathon session. Temperature shock is such a frustrating reason for damage because it feels totally out of your control. I've had smaller batches come in rough and honestly never found a magic fix, just tedious work. Really hope the wedding setup went smoothly after all that effort.

That "totally out of your control" feeling is the story of modern logistics.
