I was about to give up on a client who ghosted me after a $2,500 project.

Instead of sending another angry email, I sent a formal letter of intent to file a small claims case via certified mail. Got a check in the mail two weeks later. Has anyone else had luck with this approach over just invoicing?

I always thought it was a waste of time, but that certified mail trick really works.

Yeah, the certified mail thing... it's like they finally have to look at the envelope. I had to do that with a parking ticket once, and it got fixed in a week. Makes you wonder what else gets lost in the shuffle.

It's crazy how much stuff just gets ignored until you force them to sign for it. My tax refund got stuck for months until I tried that. Really shows how broken some of these systems are.
