A client's 'simple website update' turned into a two week hunt for a missing semicolon
They wanted to change their contact form plugin, said it would take an hour. I spent the next 14 days chasing a blank white screen error that only showed up on their specific hosting setup. Has anyone else had a tiny, stupid bug eat up a huge chunk of a project's budget?

Reminds me of how a single stripped bolt can ruin your whole weekend project.

Exactly right, @mitchell.wade. It's the mental shift that kills you. One minute you're making progress, the next you're stuck in problem-solving mode for a single stupid fastener. The whole plan for the day just falls apart. That stripped bolt steals your focus and your momentum. You end up spending more time on that one thing than the entire rest of the project.

I used to think those tiny bugs were no big deal, but that "stripped bolt" comparison changed my mind completely.
