PSA: That fresh cut glass will bite you if you're not suited up
I was moving some panes after a quick trim and figured I didn't need my gloves... wrong. Got a deep slice across my fingers that just wouldn't stop bleeding. Had to wrap it up and drive myself to get it looked at. Now I'm behind on the job and feeling pretty stupid about it.

Ouch, that sounds painful. But you know, even gloves might not stop all cuts if the glass is really sharp. Glass edges can be tricky, right? I've seen folks get nicked through heavy duty gloves because they trusted the gear too much. Isn't it better to handle every piece like it's ready to bite? Hope you heal up quick, but maybe add some extra care next time, even with gloves on.

Wait, heavy duty gloves failed?

I used to cut cardboard for glass packing without gloves all the time, thought I was careful enough. Then I got a slice from a pane edge that needed three stitches, just like Harperperry said about trusting gear too much. Now I treat every sheet like it's razor wire, even the ones that look smooth. That one bad cut rewired my whole approach to handling the stuff. What's the worst lesson you had to learn the hard way?
