Shoutout to self-checkout, I used to hate it but now I love it
I always avoided self-checkout because I thought it was confusing and took away jobs. I would wait in long lines just to talk to a real person. Then one time, the store was packed and I had only a few items. I decided to try the self-checkout to save time. It was so easy and I got out of there fast. Now I use it every time and I don't miss the chit-chat. I know people complain about machines replacing humans, but for quick trips, it's just better. My whole view shifted after that one busy day at the grocery store.
Oh man, I feel that. Those self-checkout machines are the worst when they start yelling about unexpected items in the bagging area. Makes you want to just abandon your stuff and leave lol. Solidarity with anyone trying to avoid a chat.
