An old binder in Portland told me my headbands were too tight

He said it was stressing the spine, so I started leaving a tiny bit of slack, maybe 1/8 inch. Has anyone else had a mentor point out a small habit that made a big difference?

Just a heads up on cheap insulation for your shed build

I put about $300 into the bargain roll stuff from a big box store, and it's already sagging in the corners after one winter. I mean, the temp swings are wrecking it, and now I have to redo a whole wall. Has anyone found a decent mid-range brand that actually holds up?

I almost got sued because my contract didn't have a kill fee

A client in Austin ghosted me halfway through a big website project, then came back 8 months later demanding the final files. My contract only said I'd get paid upon completion, so I had no way to bill for the 60 hours I'd already put in. A lawyer friend told me I should have had a clear clause for partial payment if the client ends the project early. Has anyone else had to add a kill fee after a bad experience?
