Had a coolant hose blow on a '98 Civic during a test drive in the middle of July
I was just past the old bridge on Route 9 when the steam started pouring out. The upper radiator hose had a split about two inches long, and the temp gauge was already pegged. I pulled over, let it cool for a solid hour, and used a roll of my emergency electrical tape as a temporary wrap to get it back to the shop. Has anyone else found a better roadside fix for a burst hose that actually holds up for a few miles?
