inMy shed from salvaged wood rotted quick, now I'm split on sustainable builds.
You mentioned pressure-treated pine from certified farms lasting decades. Sometimes new wood is the real sustainable choice if the salvaged stuff just rots and needs replacing. A shed that falls apart in a year isn't helping anyone.

inGot all pumped up finding a weird metal thing at a dig, turned out to be a pull tab from a soda can. Remember when those were everywhere? Now they're practically history.
Funny how stuff like that just vanishes, like @taraw47 finding them in the floor mats. You see it with payphones or specific plastic toys too. Whole chunks of normal life just quietly retire.

inShoutout to meme pages for tipping me off about cool travel spots
My buddy did something like that in Tokyo last year. He kept seeing memes about a specific ramen spot that only locals seemed to get, with jokes about the chef's angry eyebrows. He tracked it down and it was this tiny place packed with office workers slurping noodles. Said it was the best meal of his trip and he only found it because he understood the inside jokes. It really does seem like a solid way to find the real vibe of a place.

inMy coffee cooled faster than I expected and now I'm curious about heat transfer
Have you thought about the steam? It quietly takes heat away when it leaves. That can drop the temperature faster than the air or cup alone.
