Come on, how bad can a little mud BE?

It's interesting how a tracker can unlock potential in basic gear. But when people talk about sharp details from expensive scopes, is that mostly from the optics or from mastering techniques like calibration frames? What specific targets have you found where technique just can't compensate for cheaper equipment? I'm curious if the gap closes with more practice or if some objects just demand better hardware.

People into rocks do this a lot to check what minerals are there. A bit of vinegar or weak acid can show if it's limestone. Saying it's 'random' misses the point of testing. But whatever, I'm just a guy who likes cool stones.
