That time I ate the wrong dip because of a color-only label
At a backyard BBQ, the host used red and green bowls for different dips. I'm colorblind, so I couldn't tell which was which. I took a big scoop of the super spicy one thinking it was mild, and my face said it all. Everyone had a good chuckle, but it was pretty awkward. This is why adding text or shapes to labels is so important, right?

Your point about adding text or shapes to labels makes a lot of sense. I read an article that said colorblind people deal with this kind of mix-up way more often than you'd think. It seems like such an easy fix for designers to include, so why don't they always do it?

Way more often than you'd think" is actually terrifying to think about.
