Wow, that's so real. Which of the things that fell by the wayside still gets to you the most?

Yeah I get that mix of feelings lol. What worked for me was just leaning into it, like when my normie friends ask about a reference. I'll throw out a cool fact about the scene or the director, something they wouldn't know. It turns that "taken" feeling back into sharing something you actually love.

So @jamieshah, is there a trick to checking they're totally cool, or just waiting it out?

Actually, I don't really consider using a base and tweaking it as making it from scratch. It's more like a major remodel!
