Hit $50k in monthly retainer last month and it felt weird

I was so focused on the day to day grind that I didn't even notice when we crossed that line. Anyone else get surprised by a milestone they weren't tracking?

Three years of grinding and I hit a similar number last month, only I realized it because my tax accountant sent a VERY passive aggressive spreadsheet. It feels almost EMBARRASSING to not notice, like forgetting your own birthday but way more profitable. Congrats on the unintentional milestone, here's hoping the next one catches you just as off guard.

Get what you mean about the embarrassment thing. @reeseanderson I had a client bill hit my account last year and I literally stared at the number for a full minute before I realized it was mine. Tax guy sent a spreadsheet with red highlights all over it like I was supposed to be embarrassed or something. It's a weird feeling when success sneaks up on you like that.
