Paid $1,200 for a HubSpot migration agency - saved our data or wasted our cash?

So my agency hit a breaking point with our CRM last month. We were using this janky setup that kept crashing during calls. I dropped $1,200 on a specialized HubSpot migration team to move everything over. One side of me thinks it was worth it because they caught a bunch of duplicate contacts and fixed our email sequences. But the other side? We lost like 3 days of lead data because their sync tool glitched. Plus they charged extra for custom fields we didn't ask for. Now I'm wondering if I could've just done it myself with YouTube tutorials. Has anyone else hired out a CRM migration and felt mixed about it? What did you pay and was it a win or a loss?

Gotta say your post sounds like you're trying to convince yourself it was worth it. That lost lead data alone would make me furious. You paid 1,200 bucks and still had to deal with extra charges for custom fields they should've included from the start. Plus you could've lost even more data if that sync tool was any glitchier. Honestly it sounds like they took advantage of you and you're just trying to justify the expense.

Wait, did you see what happened to my friend Jen when she tried one of those cheaper CRM setups last year? She went with some fly-by-night company and it took her three months to realize they were missing basic stuff like lead source tracking. She paid even less than $1,200 but ended up losing six months worth of customer notes when their export tool crashed. Every time she tried to call support they put her on hold for like 45 minutes.
